Information About Single Shaft Shredder
Single shaft shredder is suitable for crushing and recycling small and medium-sized materials in various industries, such as electronic waste, plastic bottles, wood, scrap rubber, iron barrels, etc. The single shaft shredder consists of a blade spindle, a hydraulic push rod, and an electrical control system. It has the characteristics of low speed, high torque, and compact structure. The main shaft is driven independently, and the hydraulic push rod continuously pushes the material towards the blade shaft so that the material can be fully crushed.
There are three main models of single shaft shredders produced by our company: BSDZ400, BSDZ600, and BSDZ800. Their processing capacity ranges from 200KG/H to 1T/H, covering a wide range of output to meet the different production needs of customers.
Working Principle: The material is put into the box through the feeding system, and the hydraulic pushing system pushes the material to the shredding blade. Information About Double Shaft Shredder
The double shaft shredder is a slow-running, high-torque scrap shredder suitable for shredding larger materials. The material is put into the crushing box through the feeding system. There are two rotor shafts in the box that rotate alternately. Each shaft is equipped with a tearing blade with a special geometric shape to shear, squeeze and tear the material into small pieces (3-5mm).
Our double shaft shredders have various models, including Small Double Shaft Shredder Series used in conjunction with a copper granulator machine for crushing thick cables, high-efficiency Double Shaft Shredder Series that recycles large pieces of hard plastic and heavy tires, and a Shell Shredder Series that processes automobile engine shells and can recycle the aluminum alloy materials in them.

For shredders, the two most important components are the power transmission device and the blade, which determine the production efficiency.
Preheat in advance
Before recycling the scrap materials, preheat the motor while idling, so that the motor can transition to the working state and ensure better operation.
Add lubricating oil regularly
The most basic maintenance measure is to regularly add lubricating oil to the bearings of the double shaft shredder, which can make the blade run more smoothly and ensure the output of the shredder.
Regular blade inspection
Blunt or damaged blades will cause the machine performance to decline, so check the blade status regularly to see if the blade is damaged.
Clean the shredder
After turning off the power, some waste may remain in the crushing box. We recommend that you check the machine after each use and remove the waste in time to avoid clogging the machine when restarting.
Currently, there are two types of shredders commonly used in the scrap recycling industry, single shaft or dual shaft shredders. While both are capable of processing large, bulky scrap materials, each machine has different advantages.
Machine Structure
Single shaft shredders are only equipped with one shaft with rotating blades, a hydraulically driven push rod, and a sieve under the rotating shaft. Double shaft shredders consist of two blades, and there is no hydraulically driven push rod or sieve on the machine.
Applicable Materials
Single shaft shredders are more suitable for processing solid, thick fragments, such as plastic purging, runners, pallets, and even wood, branches, and bones.
Dual shaft shredders use scissor blades to cut plastic materials and are more suitable for processing large amounts of hollow, lightweight plastics, such as PE films, PP pipes, HDPE barrels, and even rubber tires, auto parts, and electronic waste, etc.
Operation Process
For single shaft shredders, after the material is put into the hopper, a hydraulically driven push rod pushes the material towards the cutting shaft to ensure that the material is efficiently shredded by the rotating blades until the fragments can pass through the sieve.
As soon as the material is put into the double shaft shredder, the double shaft cutting blades will clamp the material, and the material will be directly discharged from the crushing box after being cut by the double shaft blades.
